Biography
Joseph Caiado is a Toronto-based Production Coordinator. He recently graduated from OCAD University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA), having studied digital painting and experimental animation. Joseph has built a larger understanding of the possibilities of animation production pipelines through his education, as well as freelance work on an independent short film and music video. He attributes his passion for 2D animation to his youth, which he spent watching animated content and playing video games. Recent animated favorites include She-Ra and the Princesses of Power, Big Mouth, Centaurworld and Make My Day.
Most recently Joseph worked on a yet-to-be announced music video for Black Apron Entertainment Group Inc. as a Production Coordinator. Joseph is most notable for his work on the animated short, ‘The Fall’ as a 2D Harmony Compositor. ‘The Fall’ premiered at the SPARK Animation Festival in Vancouver, CA in October 2021, and most recently screened at the Bucharest Short Film Festival in Bucharest, ROU (11.04.2023). The short has been selected for screenings in festivals worldwide, including the Toronto Animation Arts Festival International 2022 in Toronto, CA; the Animation Dingle 2022 in Ireland, UK; Imaginaria Animated Film Festival 2022 in Conversano, IT and; the SLASH Film Festival in Vienna, AT.
